How long does a divorce take in Sri Lanka?
An uncontested matter is typically concluded within six to twelve months; contested matters take longer and depend on the district court's calendar.
Can matters be settled without going to court?
Very often, yes. A negotiated settlement is usually faster, less costly and easier on children.
